GPSR
Fit Foam is committed to compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). This document outlines the steps, policies, and documentation required to ensure that Fit Foam products meet the standards set by the GPSR, guaranteeing safety and reliability for all users.
What Is GPSR?
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) ensures that all products placed on the market are safe for consumers. It requires manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to:
- Identify and mitigate product risks
- Provide clear and accurate product information
- Maintain transparent safety and compliance documentation
Safety First
Cutting Fit Foam requires you to use a
sharp knife to cut the items into the foam.
Please take extra care when using a knife.
Things to remember...
Fit Foam was designed to be the ultimate solution to create amazing custom foam liners.
However, there are still things you have to consider to get a professional, high-quality finish.

Make sure to replace the blades regularly.
A dull blade can snag and create a jagged cut.

When creating your layout, leave at least 5mm between each item.

Always wear safety equipment. Our cutting kits include gloves, which should be worn when you are cutting foam.
Pro Cutting Kit Only...

The achieve a smooth base, fit a foam spinner to an impact driver or drill. Slowly skim the surface of the foam, using light pressure while the spinner is rotating.

Step One
If necessary, cut your foam down to the required size.
Create a layout of your tools by laying them on top of the foam. You should leave at least between 5mm between items.
Once you're happy with the layout, take a picture as a reference.

Step Two
Remove all of the tools except the one you're cutting first. We recommend starting in a corner.
Lightly press on the item, so it doesn't move. Trace cut around the item, keeping the knife perpendicular and as close to it as possible.
Once you meet the original cut mark, remove the item and cut again to the desired depth.

Step Three
Peel back layers unitl you reach the required depth. It is easier to pull from a point than a long edge.
If you are finding it difficult to peel then you may not have cut the profile deep enough.
The peeling of the foam is more of a "ploughing" action. You need to follow the peel and dig your fingers through the foam as you follow the shape of the tool. The foam does not peel on the layers, it will peel below or above the layer line.
Repeat
The process is the same for the rest of your items. Ensure that you keep checking the layout so you don't run out of room for all of your items.
Once you've finished, please take a photo and share it with us! We love to see your creations..
